Starter materials

A few good places to start.

01 / EVERYDAY

PLA

Quoted per project

An easy-to-use, everyday filament with a smooth finish and crisp detail.

Good for

Decor, organizers, models, and general-purpose parts used indoors.

Why choose it

Good detail and a broad choice of colors.

Things to know

Less suited to hot environments or parts that need to flex.

    02 / MATTE FINISH

    PLA Matte

    Quoted per project

    A matte-look PLA option for a softer, low-gloss appearance.

    Good for

Display pieces, gifts, and objects where surface appearance matters.

    Why choose it

Muted surface appearance with the familiar ease of PLA.

    Things to know

Like other PLA, it is not intended for high heat or safety-critical use.

      03 / TOUGHER OPTION

      PETG

      Quoted per project

A tougher everyday option when a part needs more impact resistance than PLA.

      Good for

Practical parts and objects that may see more knocks or warmer conditions.

      Why choose it

More impact-tough than PLA in Bambu Lab’s material comparison.

      Things to know

Surface finish and fine details can differ from PLA; exact performance depends on the part.

        04 / FLEXIBLE

        TPU (flexible)

        Quoted per project

A flexible filament for parts designed to bend or cushion.

        Good for

Flexible covers, bumpers, grips, and soft-touch parts.

        Why choose it

Can flex and return toward its original shape when the part is designed for it.

        Things to know

Flexible prints are not a fit for every design and may take longer to produce.

Material test values are comparisons under specific lab conditions. The strength and heat performance of a printed part can change with its shape, orientation, and print settings. We don’t certify parts for safety-critical use.

Colors may look a little different on screen than they do in person. Ask us about current stock before you choose.
