Here are a few things customers often ask. If you don’t see your question, just get in touch.
What file types do you accept?
For print-only requests, I accept .stl, .3mf, .step, .stp, and .obj files. Uploads will be handled through Tally when the form is ready.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the material, print time, quantity, and whether design work is needed. See the Pricing page for design fees and sample totals.
Is the price exact or an estimate?
Print-only orders get a firm price based on your file. Design + print orders start with an estimate, then get an exact price before printing. The final price won’t exceed the estimate by more than 15% unless you approve more.
What if the final price is lower than the estimate?
You pay the lower final price. The second invoice is the final price minus the deposit already paid.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the project. Small print-only jobs are usually 3–5 business days after payment clears; large jobs may take 5–10. A first design draft is usually 3–7 business days. Shipping time is extra.
Are fit and function checks really free?
Yes. Every order includes a visual fit check, a basic function check, and a photo report. These checks do not certify strength or safety.
How many design revisions are included?
Two revisions are included. Extra revisions are 15% of the design fee each.
How do I pay?
I email Square invoices after you approve a quote. Cards are accepted. The website never collects your card details.
Is my file private?
Customer files are used only for the order and are not published. Files submitted through forms stay with Tally. See the Privacy page for details.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Send photos within 48–72 hours of delivery so I can arrange a reprint or refund.
Can I request a specific color or material?
Yes. See Materials & Colors for starter options. Colors may vary slightly from screen to print.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Larger quantities generally lower the price per piece. Orders of 50 or more are quoted individually and may need extra lead time.
Can you do rush orders?
Sometimes. Rush work adds 25–50% when the schedule allows.
Can you print weapons or safety-critical parts?
No. I don’t print weapons or load-bearing and safety-critical parts. See What We Don’t Print.
